Instructions

  • Let’s read the story of “How the Beetle Got Her Gorgeous Coat."
  • Let’s imagine that YOU are beetle — what colors would you choose for your new coat?
  • Let’s draw a big beetle on a piece of paper with semi-circles for her wings. Let’s paint a gorgeous design on one wing.
  • While the paint is still wet, let’s fold the paper in half and use our hands to press the paint onto the other half of the paper to make a matching image on the opposite wing.
  • Let’s carefully open the paper again to see beetle’s gorgeous new coat!
